Mrs. Joyce goes above and beyond for her 5th grade students. When the Pandemic hit in March and teachers werent allowed to teach traditionally, Mrs Joyce went into over drive. She spent countless hours tutoring students on the side, she would make drives to houses to ensure families had what they needed, and most of all she was there for her kids to teach them and try to give them normalcy.
When school started in August- she was in the same position, but with new students. She once again went into over drive. Many trips spent delivering school supplies (that she purchased herself), text books, and treats to students and families. She did this without an ounce of complaint. She now teachers from her home while managing a 1 year old and 10 year old and 26 additional kids online. She does this with grace and determination and makes learning fun for the kids- including her daily afternoon dance parties. Mrs. Joyce would be very deserving of this award.
