Mrs. Britton has an energy for learning that is contagious. She motivates her students to not only learn core curriculum, but also life habits. Her motto is, “KIND” and all of her students know this. They get rewarded with sweet treats when she catches them in the act of kindness. Both of our children have been fortunate enough to have her and tell me she makes school fun!! They want to make Mrs. Britton proud! She plays Minecraft and can talk to the students about their interests such as Minecraft because she’s invested in getting to know her students and their families. She plans escape rooms about growth mindset and STEM group activities. Creativity and writing are her jam!! And if you excel at math, she will go out of her way to make sure you are challenged. But, honestly, it’s her generous spirit and love of learning that makes her so deserving of this award.
