Cynthia Hunt

Clinton High School

Teacher’s Aide-high school

Cynthia has been struggling with a lot outside of school from the loss of her father, to helping provide full time care for her mother-in-law, helping her own high school age son through school during a pandemic, and another son who graduated last year and had to deal with missing the “normal” prom and graduation celebrations. Through all of this Cynthia shows up and goes above and beyond every day. She is always there to help teachers with anything they need (making copies, grading papers, working one-on-one with students who need it), and students with their needs as well (help in class, a listening ear, or even just a small comment in passing that shows she cares about them as a person). She continues to come up with ideas for our school to keep us connected to our community through things like fundraisers for track, or suggesting a class use their unused prom fund for a donation to a student who was recently in an accident. Even though she is struggling and exhausted she does it all with a smile on her face and puts 100% into all of it. She is kind, she is strong, she is a leader. Cynthia is a great role model for our kids. She deserves to be recognized for all she does.
