I am nominating my wife, Hollie for this honor. My wife has worked in the Cahokia school district for 19 years. She has dedicated those years to helping children see that they have a future ahead. Hollie spends countless hours creating amazing lesson plans and fun activities to enhance the learning in her classroom. She has also made such great connections with these families in Cahokia where she has become a well respected educator. Hollie will make home visits to surprise the children with books and rewards. She truly loves her career. My wife has always been on the cutting edge of education. She wants to provide effective instruction and opportunities for her children to grow and succeed in school. I am also a teacher in the second grade. I am in constant awe of everything that Hollie does for her students. She is an inspiration to other teachers like myself as she inspires her children on a daily basis.
