Kandi is a new teacher. She decided to go back to school and get her teaching degree so that she could make an impact on children. She started teaching in January of last year. When Covid hit she moved to the online side. Now with the start of this year being online learning she spends multiple hours outside of the time she spends at school making videos and lessons for the kids. She spends almost the entire day on Sunday making sure that things are ready for the next week. She teaches at one of the roughest schools in Decatur because she wants to make an impact on these kids. She is the most caring and driven teacher I know.
