DeSoto Grade School
Ms. Bloodworth is not just any Kindergarten teacher, she is a special blessing to all her students! I first had the pleasure of meeting her at DeSoto Grade School when she taught my now 12 year old son, Joseph, and now she is the teacher for my 5 year old son, Jacob, and I am so thankful! Yes, she is a teacher, but to her students she is so much more. She is a great example of a mentor and a friend to these children. Kindergarten is such a critical role in the development of children and she understands this perfectly. She helps the children with the stepping stones on a pathway to success for a lifelong journey of learning with joy and excitement. She is honest, caring, giving and an exemplary role model for her students not just regarding academics but for life in general. She provides a wonderful example of daily living, The Golden Rule, which is so important for children to see firsthand. She disciplines when needed with patience and grace and most importantly, provides a healthy and happy learning environment with unending encouragement and love for the students. While I am not in the classroom, these are things which I have learned from my 5 year old from his daily stories in his ever-exciting world of Kindergarten at DGS! We love her and greatly appreciate all she does – many thanks to this special TEAcher!
