This teacher is a special person in my life – my mom. Each day of the year, for 16 years, I have watched her go above and beyond for her students. Teaching is not only about lesson planning, it is about getting to know each and every student and supporting them in whatever way you can. My mom loves her job and what she does, and her students and their families love her for it in return. This school year has been extremely stressful for my mom. Although her school is in person 5 days a week, she has 1 remote learner and has to teach throughout the school day and then re-record her lessons for that student. Once she gets home, she is already back on her computer planning for the next day and week. My mom is more than deserving of this gift, and I know she will put the money right back into her classroom for her students!
