I am nominating Mr. Miller because of his commitment to his school, his students, and his fellow colleagues. When the pandemic hit and the schools were forced to shut down, he was spending countless hours of his own time driving to individual students houses that requested to have a free meal brought from the school. He was risking is his own health in order to make sure each student was fed and being taken care of. He also was making individual calls to the family members of students wanting to check in on the student and to make sure there was not any concerns or issues for the student that the school could help with. He has also come up with countless ideas and ways for the students to be able to practice in some capacity by fixing countless schedules, coordinating with other administrators and coaches while also adhering to constantly changing guidelines. He has also been an advocate in helping get the students back into the classroom as well as for getting the students back into playing their sports by sending emails and phone calls to various people in the government and the IHSA. Mr. Miller would do anything to help his students succeed not only on the field or the classroom. But overall in life.
