Mrs. Solorio is hands down the best teacher and one of the best people you could ever meet. She goes above and beyond to make her students feel encouraged to learn in a fun and orderly atmosphere. She is kind, caring, generous, funny and works easily with parents to help their children reach full potential. She spends hours of her free time attending her students extracurricular activities and birthday parties. She also has organized numerous school blood drives to support a student with cancer and did an all school fundraiser by making shirts to observe rare disease day, honoring her student with a rare form of juvenile arthritis. In her other spare time she serves on the teachers union and is a tremendous advocate for her fellow teachers, giving countless hours negotiating fair contracts. Mrs. Solorio also participates in the St. Jude Memphis to Peoria run and has for 10 years, further proving that kids are her number one passion. She now also serves on that board. Parents, students, and colleagues all feel blessed to have Mrs. Solorio on their teams!
