As a parent of a kindergartner, who is experiencing this year remotely, I am amazed and grateful for our teacher every single day. Not only does she have the monumental task of educating a class with the 3 grade levels-virtually, she is so engaging that all the kids are actually learning their material. I had many reservations about how this year would look and spent so much time worrying if my son would get what he needs. But Mrs. Kates is getting the job done. She is making the live meetings fun and still holding our kids to the same standards as if they were in her classroom. She has done a phenomenal job of including all the kids during live meetings and making sure they are where they need to be. And with times being as crazy as they are, she has always been accessible. I have messaged her late at night or on weekends, and she has always responded within a few minutes. She has played a critical role in the success of not only my son, but all her students and we feel SO lucky to have her!
